BSNL is offering a special bundling scheme and extra talk time to its Jeevan Sathi calling card subscribers across the country.
The state-run telecom operator will bundle STD Universal India Telecom Card (UITC) of Rs. 55 with Rs. 110 and Rs. 300 UITC ISD calling card free of cost. With BSNL’s UITC prepaid card, you can make STD and ISD calls from your phone even if you don’t have those services activated on your phone otherwise.
The card works in all the cities under BSNL’s network without any roaming charges. You can make calls through any BSNL landline, WLL or cell phone. Related: BSNL full talk time scheme for Holi
Also under this scheme, Jeevan Sathi subscribers will get an extra talk time of Rs. 25 for 15 days from the date of activation of the card. This promotional offer is valid till March 31, 2011.
To avail the UITC service, all you need to do is give your account number and PIN to the vendor and pay Rs. 110. No registration charges have to be given. Also see: BSNL offers free MNP facility
Talk time through Smart UITC Card
The prepaid Smart UITC Card of MRP Rs. 110 will give a talk time of Rs. 99.73. However, under the promotional scheme valid till March 31, 2011, the same card would give a talk time of Rs. 125 in all states except Jammu & Kashmir.
The UITC Card would deliver a talk value of Rs. 135 in the state of Jammu & Kashmir. The card is valid for 15 days from the day of activation.
Recharge options of Smart UITC Card
BSNL sells recharge coupons in the denominations of Rs. 20, Rs. 55, Rs. 110, Rs. 300 and Rs. 550. A service tax and education cess of 10.3% is levied and the remaining amount is credited to you card as talk time. This is valid across all Indian states under BSNL’s network, including Jammu & Kashmir.
Validity periods of the recharge coupons differ: Rs. 20 coupon has a validity of 7 days; Rs. 55 coupon comes with a validity of 20 days; you get 45 days validity with Rs. 110 coupon; recharge coupon of Rs. 300 offers 60 days validity; and Rs. 550 Smart UITC Card recharge coupon has a validity of 90 days.
